Medalie named president of SIMONA AMERICA

Archbald, PA. Jim Medalie has been named President of the Archbald Operation of SIMONA AMERICA Inc., it was announced by Lawrence Schorr, CEO of SIMONA AMERICA Inc.
“Jim has been an industry leader in thermoplastic sheet manufacturing for more than 24 years and has demonstrated exceptional leadership as a member of SIMONA AMERICA's Board of Directors," says Schorr, adding, "We are enthusiastic to have him spearhead the efforts of our expanding Pennsylvania operation."
Before joining SIMONA, Medalie served as CEO of Polyflow, LLC, a manufacturer of reinforced thermoplastic pipe (RTP) for high pressure applications in the oil and gas industry. From 1988 to 2012, he was employed by KYDEX, LLC (previously Kleerdex Company), a manufacturer of thermoplastic sheet for aircraft, rail, medical and other applications, first as Technical Director, then as Vice President of Technology, and Vice President of Technology and Manufacturing before being named President in 2002.
SIMONA AMERICA Inc. produces the industry's widest range of thermoplastic sheet including PVC, PP, PE and fluoropolymers, sheet for orthotics and prosthetics, and specialized sheet for semiconductor, chemical processing, boat building, outdoor furniture, scientific furniture and other applications.
Dr. Dean Li, President of BOLTARON, Inc., another SIMONA AMERICA Inc. subsidiary, says, "Jim will enrich our senior management team by providing invaluable insight on manufacturing and marketing of Boltaron proprietary sheet for aircraft interiors, mass transit interiors, medical equipment housings and other high performance applications."
Medalie holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA in Marketing from Temple University and an Advanced Management Program certification from Wharton.
